Gorki Gorod
Olympic Mountain Mediavillage and Mediacentre

During the 2014 Olympics, a mountain Olympic mediavillage will be located on the premises of the “Gorki Gorod” resort. The resort hotels, apartments and cottages can host over 4,000 journalists from all over the world. The mediavillage will also include a mediacentre with conference-halls, studios and offices for mass media workers, providing them with all the necessary conditions for productive and inspired work. The Olympic mediacentre was built following the “green” standards of BREEAM Bespoke International 2008, which involves usage of eco-friendly construction materials as well as energy and resource saving technologies. After the 2014 Olympics, “Gorki Gorod” will become one of the centers of Sochi’s – the all year round resort’s – sporting and cultural life. It will include an Orthodox church, a museum of modern art and a scale model park of ancient Olympia. The mediaacenter will be re-equipped into a conference centre and a Olympic museum.

Ski jumping complex

The ski jumping complex is a unique sports venue of federal importance, currently under construction for the XXII Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. This is where the Olympic ski jumping and Nordic combined competitions will take place. After the 2014 Games the complex will be used as a training base for the Russian national ski jumping team and as a venue for hosting national and international competitions.

Apart from ski jumping ramps, the completion of spectator stands with a 15 000 person capacity, a four-floor office building, a multi-storey parking lot with 250 spaces, a referee’s tower, commentary booths and a two-seat cableway from the roll-out zone to the starting tower is scheduled for December 2012.

Sberbank in Sochi

As part of the preparation for the Sochi 2014 Games, Sberbank is actively developing its assets in the Olympic capital to create an innovative banking infrastructure in line with leading international standards.

To date, there are 34 Sberbank offices in Sochi – 12 of them built according to new guidelines, with as much open space as possible, clearly zoned, with comprehensible navigation, contemporary design and accessible for disabled visitors. The Bank offices serve 10 – 15 thousand consumers – Sochi natives and visitors – and the Bank plans to further expand its network, opening more points of client service.

Sberbank is also expanding its network of self-service points (ATMs and terminals) and actively equipping shops and other establishments with terminals for non-cash payments. The number of equipped points of sale is constantly growing – today, card payments are accepted even in such landmark establishments as the Winter Theatre and the Organ Hall. Moreover, the Sberbank card can even be used to pay for the taxi!
